Keep an eye out for Sergi Roberto (Barca) cheap in year 2. I can't afford him, but he can be had for 4.4M and a reasonable salary. I'm guessing that is a 20M+ player in year 4 or 5. Vagner Love is available on a free in yr 2 winter. Araujo is younger and lower salary, but very similar players.

A couple more frees to look at Zeballos in 1st winter window Pavlov after 1st season. I can't afford him, but he looks good.

I've had good luck letting the GM sign my targets when I have this trouble. (he also tends to get them signed cheaper than me too :) ) I'm always using a small team, and getting decent players to look at you is hard.
