There is a player I want to buy and I was wondering if I put the after promotion clause into the offer I give his club and set the transfer date to the end of the season and then got promoted in May, would I have to pay the after promotion clause?

I always seem to struggle playing against 4-2-3-1 (the one with wingers). Anybody got any ideas on how I should set my team up? :)
