could you please add more detail, i cant find any "editor data files" sort of thing...where? before i start a new game?

when i make a player in the editor and then saves the player is not in the game. i think i may have done something wrong (aparently):'( i click File> Save editor data and then it saves...but as i was saying it does not work...it may have changed since i last played a football manager game...
