I’ve done this a few times, but after buying Messi in the Blue Square Premier, the magic of the game is lost – fun for a whie though! I’ve also found that after a few seasons your team of mega starts suffer poor morale, and actually lose more than you’d like. Very frustrating!

Also try Rene Howe from Torquay – another lower league player you can get cheap and bangs in goals all day.

Frannie Collin at Tonbridge- you will have to pay a little more than the ask, but he is a goal machine (in lower and higher leagues). His value never rises very much, but will get you 20+ a season no fuss!
