Started with your other tactic but with the new patch it just didn't have good effect.
Switched to this tactic for the West Brom match, got a draw which isn't bad considering the team weren't used to the formation and the amount of injuries I've had already.
Changed a couple of things to suit...

Played a little over a month with Everton, started at the end of August with this tactic.
Overall played about 7, lost only two, against Stoke in the league and Wolves in league cup..
Nonetheless very solid tactic, beat Man City at home in form 3-2 and Tottenham away 2-1.

i recommend maybe loaning in john fleck from rangers, and definitely sorting out the striking department. with monthly installments you should be able to get lukaku first season no problem.
i know! was good in my first season as well as the second. training him to be on the right because of how good Fleck was last season. and yeah, 8.5 is a bargain ;) haha but that was in the first season of the game.
