True, but I don't trust myself to win the league with either club. Might bite the bullet and try Liverpool or Man City, just so I can win some silverware.
Any suggestions for an easy save?
I've been playing for years but I just cannot get the hang of this game, i'm desperate for help. FM17's the only one where I ever had anything even resembling a successful save, even then I won **** all.
No, like in every other save i've ever done, I always get the long winless/losing runs that ruin my season. Every. Single. Time.
I'd be happy if I could just win one trophy, being **** wouldn't bother me then.
I'll have to follow this thread, my most successful ever save on an FM game was with Cambridge on FM17. No trophies but I managed two promotions.
Halliday and Carroll as my fullbacks were very solid, but unfortunately Will Norris isn't there anymore. Even when I got to the Championship he was...
Hopefully you will. I'm three seasons into my Stockport save, lost the playoff semi finals in all three seasons. Losing streak around March time cost me the title, and possibly the FA Trophy as i'd have faced Barrow in the final.
Agreed, this is a superb read.
I thought I was doing well to get Cambridge to the Championship on FM17, amateur stuff compared to this.
Keep it up, Premier League and Champions League trophies are on their way!
I believe Sutton United and Boreham Wood are also taking part this season, as the top National League sides not promoted.
Bit inconvenient that they are both Southern sides; wouldn't be too bad if Barrow and Gateshead were the two sides that took part.
I used the default experience and badges, and put 24 as my age (used my real DOB).
I've started a new save as unemployed, National A License and ex footballer National level, but kept the same age. May start from League 2 or Conference if the jobs become available. I was considering starting...
12 points from a possible 15 was always going to be a big ask. Whilst a draw against Skelmersdale wasn't necessarily a bad result on paper, a draw was as useful as a loss. The defeat to Ossett Albion finally sealed my fate.
It was an ambitious project, especially for someone who thought he...
November was an improved month for me, but not enough to prevent my job from being under serious threat.
Chairman Trevor Bull wanted a meeting, safe to say it wasn't positive.
There's no other way to say it. October was nothing short of a disaster. Aside from the South Shields game, the team were pathetic both going forward and defensively.
The 2-0 defeat to Colne was dubbed 'El Sackico' according to my inbox before the game. Amazingly i'm still in the job.
A...
After a tough August, September brought some much needed improvement with four wins on the trot.
The NPL Challenge Cup is not my priority, but getting a bit further in the competition would have been nice.
The upturn in form unsurprisingly reflected by the much improved position in the...
The table looks bleak, but some good news is that my away match at early leaders Tadcaster has been postponed. This means I have a home tie against fellow strugglers Glossop. A must win match for both sides.
