Deadly Circle - A good old fashioned 4-4-2

I prefer deadly circle. It has more to watch but both are equally capable of getting the results you want. A few little tweaks ive tried with mixed results... The F9s have been changed to DLF-S. I found the F9 weren't stretching the back line and were more of a deep-lying poacher. this...

Deadly Circle - A good old fashioned 4-4-2

Not great, but the board seem happy to make a loss as long as i deliver results and keep wages balanced.

Deadly Circle - A good old fashioned 4-4-2

yeah for a team full of overpaid oldies, you sure get a lot of cash for mediocrity. After an overhaul here's what im working with now... In my second full season as AC Milan and last season was a mix of V1 and CE's delivering art. It was a good season last time for the strikers but this...

Deadly Circle - A good old fashioned 4-4-2

Mixed thoughts from me about this. -Wingers work either way, i prefer 1 of each. with my more creative on the right and the 'finisher' on the left. -The strikers are so wasteful, i find that rather than putting the game to bed i'm holding on last 15 mins hoping for not counters. -The CM are...

    FM15 TUGA

I'm having no problems at all, probably worked better for me after the patch than before. When i've gone away from suggested match prep is when i've struggled with this mostly, along with when i've used strikers who don't have high vision stat. I also find inverted wingers work better than...

    FM15 TUGA

Switched to this in Feb (folhadal control tweak) as i wasn't getting a consistent run of results and overall worked really well. Had the occasional blip and unexpected loss but then you get games like.... Half time: FT: Gearing up for 1st full season with this and feeling optimistic!

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

At start of game? what league roughly? I took Swindon from league 1 to the prem with back to back promotions and found some stars on the way.

    Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2 Tweaks Thread

Don't be hasty if it is your first season. This tactic is VERY different to what players are already set to be familiar with at the start of the game. Being fluid means that the players know the tactic and are able to produce what is needed and that is why you haven't lost yet but they may not...

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

So 1st season in prem and i learned a few more harsh lessons resulting in an 8th place finish... Luke Freeman went on a 10 game goalless run and my lack of depth up top (sold my strikers hoping to sign replacements, didn't sign any) causing numerous draws or easily avoidable losses. You either...

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

A few things i've learnt in my 1st season in the prem with a a side rated well below average... - Just because it's fluid, it doesn't mean it should work. Being fluid means your players know the tactic however, if you stop tactics match prep too soon, they don't have enough experience as a...

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

Literally the default tactic in the OP. I used OI against much bigger teams who played 4-4-2 but against other formations it seemed to weaken me.

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

You'll struggle to find a squad that meets all those criteria, especially the size of the club in relation to finances. I would advise ignoring the money aspect and browse teams that interest you and see what their squad shape is like. I am playing as Swindon (home team) and had 100k to spend...

Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2: High Pressure, Attacking Tactic for Top Teams and Underdogs

My first 2 games of the season always go like this so I've accepted it as part of my ritual. Stick it out until atleast 10 games in and see if it carries on. If so, it is most likely down to your match prep settings or possibly not having the right players for the positions.
