Hmm not going to analyse your squad for you dude (your job!). But if the Drog is injured then find a player who is similar in stats (if that's actually possible). Lukaku is a bit young to for lone tgt man so have to factor that into the equation. he might be ok for cameo's backup but not week in...

Yep 4-3-3 with 1 tgt man & 2 inside fwds working well for me now. If in doubt just go with everything set to default/std i.e. mid point for all settings and slowly tweak one at a time.

I never ever play a game when my wife is in the room. Everytime she walks in I lose. It's amazing - like women on ships in day sof old. I abandon the game straight away and go back to the last save. Her disapproval must be having an effect on the squad!
The TGT man needs to be good (one of the best in your team) to operate on his own and I find having an inside fwd on either side helps as well. Wingers & just crossing too 1 dimensional for a lone striker. If he doesn't pull off the first shot/header there is no one to assist if the suppliers...
Mike - my tactics worked consistently in FM07 & FM09. As you say it's possible FM2011 shifted the goalposts (no pun intended) and they altered things a bit and I have to go back to square 1. I'll do it cos I'm ****** addicted but I resent it...

It's a bug. When world class players who have very high scores, have great morale etc etc cannot score to save themselves (multiple quality strikers not just one out of form)... it's a bug. SI have dropped the ball on the most important aspect of the game imo. Loads of threads on this...
Right. Seems like its confirmed then FM2011 looks great and has some good new features but they've messed up the single most important aspect of the game - scoring goals - which everything else kinda pointless... Maybe FM2012 will be better. I'm prob going back to FM2009 which is my fav so far...
