I think your targets are a little low, I started a game unemployed and Nurnberg was my first job. I finished in the Europa league spots, £13m season 2 budget. My advice is don't ignore Ishak - he finished on 14 goals in my setup which isn't a million miles away from yours. Best of luck.

I tend to switch to counter attack around 70 mins if I'm 2 up. More than that switch to control. Works for me

You get the option to do this when the players agent requests a new contract for his client as well, bottom right hand corner - Offer Contract, Ask X to sack agent, Refuse (something like that anyway)

Think I know what the issue was - I utilised all my wage budget for transfers (still remaining in wage budget) board have now given me 100% of transfers due to "wage budget not being close to the limit" - something to be wary of? Edit: getting £18m for Aspas is defo a bug though

Friendlies against big teams at home in pre-season are good money spinners. Not done any in FM15 but when I was managing a team in the Isthmian league I managed to get Man Utd etc for some games pre-season and it made me a decent wodge of cash.
