I have found that marking Zonal/Tight can work wonders, but as long as you match it up with higher pressing and not too aggressive tackling

I'm no expert, but surely your 'predicament' is just the game giving you another challenge - isn't that a good thing? Personally I try not to think of FM in terms of 'patches' and 'bugs' - I like to immerse myself in it and forget it's a game (H)

I think DownRightUpright has a great idea with posting images for their regens - otherwise there's no point is there? May I suggest putting their CA and PA aswell, just to see how they compare to real players in those terms? MY team hasn't got any (yet) so I can't practice what I preach...

the bit about negotiating contracts is SO true. My mate signed Vidic for Barca, without negotiating and gave him 300k/week or something. It turns out his agent was just greedy - I tried and eventually got him down to 125k-ish
