Unique Situation where a team would lose on purpose?

Hmm. If the FA suspected anything, I imagine there'd be serious consequences. And unless the team just goes and plays **** (or someone does this), it would probably be fairly obvious. I suppose they could just field a weaker team knowing they've got nothing to play for (and get fined by the FA...

    Juan Mata or David Silva?

Difficult one for me... Who would I rather have in my team? Probably Juan Mata, because he's younger, more versatile* and probably on about half of Silva's wages. *Both can play wide, but I think Mata plays more like a winger when he's wide, while Silva cuts inside more (avg 0.8 crosses/game...

    The " I have a small question " thread

Hi all, was just wondering if anyone could tell me how detrimental it actually is to change tactics (almost) every game? I don't mean minor tactical tweaks like changing a couple of players' roles, but changing formation, tactical instructions, playing style, etc. In my Sheffield Utd save...

    The Arsenal Thread

Famlan himself (who RvP clearly knows personally, and seems to be an Arsenal fan judging by his tweets) says to someone called 'Sasperella' (who happened to be tweeted by RvP and doesn't seem remotely suspicious) that "the old guy in the middle" is his father-in-law. No way is RvP that stupid.

I reckon Utd are more likely to sign Modric than Hazard. Especially since Hazard has made himself available to pretty much every CL club in England, France, Italy and Spain. SAF isn't usually one to sign players who might have attitude probs IMO.

It's not about relying on them all being fit, it's about not having literally all but one of your first choice defenders fit, like we had for a lot of the start of the season. Vermaelen was injured, we had to play a right-footed DM at left-back in the NL derby ffs. Injuries are part and parcel...

Well we conceded 14 goals in the first 5 games, which was actually just v LFC, MUFC and BRFC, so as I said - the start of the season has clearly ****** our GD. We actually have - statistically - the 8th best defence in the league overall, btw (41 conceded, same as SAFC). Chelsea have the 6th...

And yet when he didn't score for 4 games, we still kept our run of form going - Walcott is finishing the season on a high and Arteta's bagged some goals as well. I agree we're over-reliant on him, but not as much as some people seem to think. We have a balanced team, and with a couple of new...

At the start of the season, yeah. Not so much recently, and at full strength I'd argue we have (on paper) one of the best defences in the league - Koscileny has been a revelation and Vermaelen has shown why we missed him so much earlier in the season. I'd be happy to see someone like M'Vila...

No, I was just pointing out that CFC Callum said Mourinho's Chelsea side were entertaining, when they weren't. Finito. No more Chelsea until the Chavs come to the Emirates next week without Ivanovic.

Cba to get banned by Dunc, but can I just point out that it's only been 6 (coming up to 7) years without a trophy, not 8? Cheers. Also, Mourinho's football was dull as **** and 'unstoppable' means actually being unstoppable surprisingly enough. I.e. Not being beaten for a whole season :)

So here's the deal. I'm making a mini-comeback 'cos I miss talking about football with vaguely intelligent people in more than 140 characters. Get over it. --- Great win last night. I know it's Wolves, and I know they had 10 men for 80 minutes, but unlike other teams this season, we've been...

Whether Gibbs touches him in that video or not, the angle at which the supposed contact is made isn't enough for him to tumble over the 'keeper as if Szczesny has clattered him (which he hasn't). Anyways, irrelevant as we beat you 5-2, and should have had a penalty ourselves :)

Nope, we need a striker anyway. Chamakh's *****, Bendtner's going to leave, Park never plays, and Walcott doesn't look likely to play through the middle any time soon. 1 striker is the minimum for this summer.
