I find that if you offer big loyalty and agent bonuses players tend to sign for low wages. But since I really hate giving money to these blood-sucking fee-demanding willing-to-tout agents, I tend to overpay wages a little

Anyone know how to get the best out of one? I got a regen GK with good attributes in throwing, kicking and strength and since I play quite often a counter attacking 4-5-1 I thought the keeper could start the counter quickly. However he simply won't throw the ball to open players waiting/running...

Is there a specific stat you look for in all your players? I'm a sucker for natural fitness. I won't buy any player with a very low stat there which is frustrating later in the game since most regens have crappy natural fitness. Creativity is a close second (same problem by the way...)

You also can try setting your MCs run from deep to rarely. That way the AMC has more space to act and more options to pass. It's great for posession/defence football but you may sacrifice your MCs attacking potential
