how to you set the marking to manual

how do you set to manual marking, i can not see the instructions on the OP on how to do it

please help, how do you dis-able the players pics that are on a players profile screen, i do not like the real pics/greyed outline of a persons head, and i prefer the text in that area i.e. age, wages etc to e spaced out. i could dis-able them on fm 2013 but cant see the same option on fm 2014.
