On fm 17 it's Bournemouth, after 4 seasons, but of all time it's probably Sheffield Wednesday. If you measure it by starting squad level rather than historical size of the clubs.
Always had much more success in the league compared to the CL in Fm, throughout the series.
Imo Conqueror. 4-4-2 tactics are stronger overall, especially for underdog sides. 4-3-3 takes stronger/more well rounded forward players while 4-4-2 can use more specialized players.

I would probably play Coutinho as left mid but he is also good as CM in this tactic. Firmino would be good as both left mid and striker but it's a challenge to incorporate both in the same starting XI. Maybe rotate them on LM or sell Firmino because Lpool have very good CMs and STs.
You are exactly right. Tactics like this one really does require a certain quality of the players. ESPECIALLY Full backs and Central defenders/midfielders will get a lot of cards unless they have good decision making, tackling and sportsmanship. These are essential in order to keep 11 players...

I did indeed revamp the squad a lot before and during the season but I spent only as much as I sold for and the wage bill was cut by about 100k per week and the players I bought all slotted into the tactic pretty much faultlessly with the exception...
It's a problem mainly with the right and left midfielder positions in the game. Usually these players have the more advanced attacking midfielder roles as their naturals so you have to train them for a while in the more withdrawn roles for them to be fully "greened out".

Put the more defensively minded or high work rate at STR because he's going to be marking the central midfielder and making a lot of defensive work compared to the regular striker.
I haven't really tried your other tactics properly TFF but I have to say this is probably my all time favorite tactic that I've gotten from someone else. It's not the best tactic I've ever used but certainly one of them.
