Long time player of FM but this year I can't seem to win much games or score many goals. I got relegated with Southampton and all. If I do win its always 1-0. I dominate most home games with at least 54% poss and average 4.5 shots on target. PLEASE HELP! Do I have the wrong roles set?

I've been playing a network game with a mate now for over 17 years. He's been playing 3 at the back and scoring lots of goals. I did notice in our games, it looked like a high pressure ME exploit at times when my LB would get the ball and just panic or stall on it whilst his players sweep in...
