I can say it because they are clearly wrong - simply by stating something doesn't make it so. I've provided a link to an official SFL statement referring to the club as Rangers, not "The Rangers" or "Rangers Newco"

Well the 3 people are wrong. There are two sides to the club - the footballing entity and the company which controls it. The company set up by Charles Green which now owns the club is called The Rangers Football Club.

The common name is still Rangers. The only reason 'newco' is mentioned in the press is to differentiate it from the old company which at the moment still exists. I don't think it's necessary to include this in the game though as it's not as if people are going to confuse the two.

Why would any club ever use the word 'Newco' in their official name? Being referred to as that in the media proves nothing whatsoever.

Rangers should still be called Rangers. There is no such club as Rangers Newco, the holding company which owns the club has changed but this does not affect the name of the club.
