Tactics has kinda stop working for me. I regularly reach QF in CL but against better team i get results only using some 424 variations, while in Serie A (third title in a row) i had to change tactics like 10 game straight during half time cause very low xg and/or opponent team low block, and...

After sooo many games I had to make this my second tactics. Badly, sometimes it just doesn't delivers: despite winning trophy back to back, I often needed to switch to a back 4 to give more weight to the attack. I still think ME has something weird going on, so not a tactic issue overall, but still

At this point I think they added a huge modifier for consistently between players. Whatever the tactics, every X months there is a bunch of bad game without any real explanation

Do you tried to transition to 3 5 2? I'm happy with everything but the AMc, cause seems so less involved in everything, he just pop out in rebouncing corner, heavy counterattack or to pierce through defence in whipped balls, would like to try some more linking stuff (tried both as SS and AMa/s)

Does 2 CMs instead of DMs maintain cover for defence, or they get cutter out?

Did you tried to play with 3 midfielders too? I'm trying to play with some combination of CM/Mezzala with DLP on the back, but the screams of my assistant manager about space to exploit for opponent make me doubtful (and AI doesn't ever use any 3 5 2 tactics too, just some 3 4 3 sometimes)

I'm in 26/27 and still struggling, but i come from serie B and still no takeover :D Sometimes the tactics doesn't delivers, but I noted now CMs contribute better, so 3 5 2 is nice when you can't score. What seems weird to me is sometimes is better going 3 4 2 1 instead double AFs

btw this means they will not develop via training at least for half a season. It's good to do that when you are in tight cup+title race spot, but should not be the norm to use a tactic on the long run
