Something that just occurred to me when discussing a new contract offer with Wigan... would I not be better off having the smallest wage possible as manager?
This would allow me to better use the wage budget to sign players.
Am I missing something here, what benefits are there to me...

I have recently got back into playing FM2014 after buying a new laptop.
I have started with the original database (no updates) as Wigan in the Championship.
I have made a few new signings, my starting 11 is as follows -
