I would stick with preston for the time being, Your a better club than Wolves don't jump ship at the first opportunity more/better jobs will come your way.

Currently managing Celtic after winning leagues with, Juve, man utd & wolfsburg. they were 9th i've won the league and holidayed 1 match to get to scottish cup final quicker & my assistant won 2-1 & got manager of the year WTF!

Could be several reasons, Like the ones above could be 1. In Administration, 2. have a release clause, 3. have accept all offers & 4. your director of football (if you have one) could be dealing with transfers and accepting the bids on the clubs behalf.

If your building a all english team then yes he is worth it. If you were just getting anyone im sure you could find cheaper options.
