I initially thought FM24 was an upgrade on FM23. Im slowl realising its every bit the **** game FM23 was and it gets boring reeeeeeeeaaaal fast.

Id agree about not getting into the typical fanboy scripting arguments, but the whole thing, whether scripted or not FEELS incredibly scripted when you look at how teams play week to week. At home its the same as last years game, you just seem to blast everyone, they cant get anywhere near you...

The mistake i see the most is why a defender will inexplicably NOT close someone down from an angle, and then the opposition player just drills it into the back of the net. Im seeing some wildly high scoring games, far moreso than normal. Im talking 5-2s, 4-3s regularly. That just doesnt happen...

Train your player to come deep for the ball as a player trait.

I would have to agree that FM24 is a massive improvement on the abomination that was FM23, this seems a much more realistic match engine compared to real life football, where you can actually see some tangible difference in performance when changing team instructions.

If anyone doesnt believe this, they are either a fanboy, or just plain deluded. TWO away games running, ive had exactly the same pattern happen to me. Dominate the game like mad, but concede a couple of early goals to the AI who suddenly turn into the sharpest shooting strikers in the world...

You know the phrase "when they cross the white line, theres nothing you can do"......well this game takes that phrase to a level I dont think anyone has ever seen, ever. Its more like "when they cross the white line, the game will decide what happens and you can make all the changes you want...
