Having real trouble conceding 1 or 2 late goals, usually in the last 10 - 15 mins of a match. Does anybody have any hints or tips on stopping this?

I'm trying to sign a player from Nantes, but I'm unable to scout or make any form of offer. Is there a way to remedy this?
