Third season update with Hartlepool. Having being promoted to the Championship, the board gave me 700k to spend, most of which went to a CB and a few other free transfers. The season started in a disaster and was near the drop off point for a few game weeks.

Finished second season with Hartlepool in League 1 (after promotion from League 2). Again, free transfers and loan transfers only, 5 or 6 of the starting 11 is still from the original squad. Basically just got better WBs (meaning a bit faster).

I give rest to all players until the match day and recall them back to training. This way the only injuries I get is during the matches and none during training sessions. A few illness injuries but never the "pulls a muscle in training and is out for 3 months" injuries. No idea how much this...
You are right, it's very good away. Just won 3 away games on the trot for the first time with a poor Hartlepool side. Any suggestions for a home tactic with an underdog? Used a few but have not been able to get decent results. Tried Journeyman, a few of the westbrom versions, Knaps 3421..

Thanks Jessar. One thing I noticed was despite the tactic being called Westbrom Park the bus, in reality opponents actually park the bus and I end up getting close to 60%-70% possession! Could have not believed I could do this with a 3 DC tactic before!
None of the tweaks is going that well for me so I have reverted back to the original tactic again.
