Thanks for all the tips, guys. I decided to sell him (managed to get £13million of Juventus, which isn't bad considering he hasn't played in around 9 months!). I think I'll replace him with Corchia even though I have Gokhan Gonul and Sime Vrsaljko at the club already.

I bought Marko Marin for £8m in my first season at Manchester United. He doesn't have the greatest of stats, but he is very cheap and does the business - numerous assists and goals in the seasons that I have had him.
