I have the same problem too. I have the best American striker in the world, yet since I withdrew him for a friendly, he's never been called back up....BUT HE'S STILL THE CAPTAIN FOR THE NATIONAL TEAM for 5 years now, but hasn't played a cap in those 5 years.
