Re: gettings the passes further up the field, have you tried using your CMs or Wingers as your Playmaker? I can see this might work given your Wingers are more playmakers rather than Wingers. Maybe using your DM as an anchor man rather than deep lying playmaker may...

Havent been playing the new game long enough yet to explore all the board interaction options, but Im wondering if it would have made a difference if you'd 'asked the board for more time to rebuild the squad' when you started getting the media predictions...??

Downing, unexpectedly, has been a bloomin revelation for me. Im sure its going to come grinding to a halt, but so far he has 1 goal and 8 asissts in 6 appearances. Im playing him LW as a Winger with Attack duties.
