If you can't win:
Either replay the game until you win
Jig about with tactics/formations and look at the individual training of each player plus feedback from coaches (x should train to knock ball past opponent/dive into tackles/hug the touchline etc.)
Shout, swear and curse
Take up praying...
I'd look at attending the trial days - some good players available there.
Santiago (GK) is good for League 1.
Also look at Enric Valles, Jason Banton and James Beattie (I think he's a free agent)
Akil Grier DR (ex WBA - free)
Jasiah Donaldson AMRL (free)
Deale Chamberlain, Jamie Irving, Jordan Tebbutt and Raajan Gill are good cheap GK's
For central defenders get Zak Farr and Daniel Bucciero (both ex Northampton). Dan Pringle (ex Crystal Palace) is good but his wages will vary...

However, since re-loading FM2013, the game has been far better behaved - the players actually can control...

Thankfully, I have got some good offers of help and support from people here. So we'll see what happens.

Movin Pics - That's what I try and do, and hopefully the game will be a bit more of an enjoyable experience. I don't hate the game, far from it I admire what work has gone into it. It is just sometimes it doesn't seem to go right.
