yeah.. does the different icons show up? like a hand when you can click on something and that icon to signal you can type, but its just a blank screen?

Right, I am trying to join my mates network game on a different laptop than what I normally use. I am using hamachi and that and I have also made sure that my firewall allows everything through. I think I'm missing out something on my settings or something. Does anyone know what's wrong? Thanks.
