Do you know why, when I still start a new game I am still down to play the old version and I haven't had the new 14.1.3 one yet?

How is it that when I put an offer in for a player, say ?1million they reject a bid of ?350,000?? and why is it all the Forest players pictures are missing?

Not sure if this has been posted before, and I am sorry if it has, but it is really annoying me know. I got the game from a well known website but since I got it and I installed it via Steam I haven't got further than the end of August, when I am playing the game and it appears to be working...
