Anyone tried this tactic with an international team? Not being able to train the tactic, and re train players to specific roles might cause it to become in effectual I think. Going to try it now, but wondered if anyone already has.
An impressive season by any standards. 86 Pts would win the league most seasons. Remember that for a large part of the season, the tactic isn't fluid, so next year I suspect you'll have even more success.
It is true that some teams will just sit back against this tactic and they can be hard to break down. I use touchline team talk "get more creative" and that usually seems to help. Attacking players playing as wingbacks is also helpful at home to weaker teams. But if the attacking players are...
I had a blip a few days back. Suddenly lost a couple of relatively easy games. Drew a couple of others, and even wins, I conceded more than usual. Lasted maybe 8 or 10 games, but it did get back to normal. I think this is just the FM way.

That's good to know. I was conceding something like a goal every other game, once or twice a season, I'd concede 2. Suddenly after the update, I conceded twice, 3 games in a row. But seems to have settled slightly now (although, still not as solid as before). Must just be FM getting it's own...
Anyone else finding that things have gone downhill since the patch earlier today? Suddenly, not so defensively sound at all. Maybe it's just a blip, maybe something changed.
TheDuke's Park the bus tactic is very solid defensively. But then again, some people don't like it because it doesn't score enough goals for them. It's all a question of balance, just like the real game. If you say you keep conceding when 2 or 3 goals up, sounds to me like your tactic is too...
