I did generate with 5k players, next season I did preserve with 9k players: it did it for me in a minute or so. First one was quicker I think, 2nd time I'm not so sure, I had to close the game and then it finished right away

you just have it hidden, check updates tab and copy paste directory to directly open folder (change username before pasting)

it's torrent file, you can't open with zip program

easy fix, in newgan map, open app folder and then config folder, copy those 3 items, go back 2 times. there you open config folder and paste the 3 items there. the program should work now
