Basically, i always start with my local team exeter city! Just wondering what the best tactics are for not conceding goals ans scoring

Im exeter city of league one .. my attack is brilliant and scoring alot of goals using the 4-2-4 formation .. but im conceding too many goals. Could somebody please give me some tips or tactics to help this .. Thankss:D
