Sorry, I didn't mean that the combo tactics were creating gaps or being too attacking. I meant the systems I've tried in the past were having those issues which probably boils down to my inability to make a tactic work.

I've struggled with getting a 4-2-3-1 to work properly, usually down to balance. I'm either set up too attacking and leave too many gaps for counter attacks or too defensive and I can't break down teams so I'm interested to try these systems.
