Lack of fullbacks isnt the cause. I think it's because all midfielders have to run like **** to counter attack (basicly every time u get the ball its because of the defenders heading it forwards quickly, causes ur midfielders to run forward asap. Wearing them down FAST. Using this tactic in a...
This tactic does rely quite alot on speed, altho i'd say it's just bad luck for you :). I once lost 5-1 (could be 6 or 7 -1) to real madrid also with ajax(better team then wigan)
I found changing a bit of the tac into more d-line pushing up, lower tempo, wider play and alot more pressing from DL/DR MC/MC and alot of LONG balls forward work quite nice also. Maybe a idea for switching around so the PC won't get used to the "main" tactic. Or a good one for away games, with...
Ya i know :) just suggesting things, the basic setup (tactic's) are great. Just have you tried a complete season with it? After like 4 games in england (each 3-4days a game) my team is at 85-90% fitness before a match :P
i got defenders with 18-20 stats in jumping and heading, all quite long :p
I have 2 fullbacks, all the way in the back with the central defenders. not doing anything but destroying the wingers they have and then pass ball away :p the opponents seem to blast balls away to the wings alot while...
To give some comments about your tactic:
The tactic seems quite nice goal wise. But you tend to take quite some goals (i've been wathcing matches vs bayern, real madrid, barca etc in full.) from crosses into the box (i have 3 tower defenders, almost maxed out heading stats) so i got one of my...
After analysing: i've found nothing tha tneeds changing, players seem to do everything right. Altho it doesnt "feel" better then the old tac. And 2 seasons after using it the opponents sure seem to understand the tacs :P
Anyways for low league teams: i dont think this tac is to good for that...
Early Red card, still won! 4-1
Anyways:
Basicly on red cards, take out one of your -> DMC or MC's <-. You will need 4 defenders, and the wingers+SC are very important.
I've been rotating on corner strats, this still seems to be working best :P
Btw i don't know for sure, but i think "Beating offside trap" for ur SC will help with all the through balls?
Corner seems better ye.
Overall i think the tac is less stable. Also i got less CCC (but still some goals but thats probably cus my players just own the players in my league. Ajax is to strong for the league in fm2012 :P ) but ill watch more games to give u usefull tips
Edit: Missing leandro...
First couple of games: looks good so far, won my games with ajax and middlesbrough(championship pred. 12 in my season) easily. Had some goals against from corners which i didnt before. But this could just be bad luck :)
Sulejmani, Lucas Moura, Eriksen(can be trained AMR and does well.), Ljajic (dunno if spelled correctly, the guy from fiorentina), neymar ;), basicly just search on position AMR and LEFT Foot in fm2012 :P and ofc AML and RIGHT foot
