I've found this tactic to be the best on FM this year. 2 seasons with Liverpool, I won every competition I entered with a 90% win rate. I'll probably go back to that save but I'm wanting to see how this works lower down the leagues, so I've started a new save with Elgin City in Scotland.

What are the best in-game changes to make if you're struggling to break teams down with Gladiator/Conqueror. I've been trying to slow the pace down and pass shorter but it doesn't seem to be helping much.

I've found myself conceding quite a bit, a few things can help though. Try moving one of your CMs into a DM position, with a purely defensive role (not roaming playmaker or regista). Have the other CM as a BBM or DLP for extra defensive cover. If you're like me & found that a lot of your goals...

Trying this out with Liverpool, doing great. 17 games in, 15 wins, 1 draw (Chelsea away), 1 loss (Leverkusen away, played a weak team). First game of the season was away to Man City, beat them 3-1.
