So say I set the min number of teams to say 10 an and max teams to 12 with 11 in the current season; it would not be possible to add another team?

Uhhh I was thinking of adding it to a league- not switching a team out. I was planning on making an Australian database starting for 2010 and adding a new team to the franchise in the 2011/2012 season.

Argh, the next 5 games all have a difference of two days in between them. They are all important matches too so I HAVE to field my first team!

I had this problem a while back- but it was with all my scouts. I had a fair amount of cash (considering I used FMRTE ;)) -I just started a new game instead of trying to solve it.
