Is anyone having trouble with poacher-type players not scoring?
I have a couple players in league two who should be banging in goals for fun, and to be fair they do, but only if I play them out wide? If I play them as a poacher they get a number of one on one and just smack them straight at the...
I can't believe you sold Sigurdarson and Sako for so cheap, I ended up selling Sig for ?7.5mil a couple seasons later. Batth was definitely worth holding onto as well.
Fullbacks and poacher-type strikers are bugged on this game pal, until its updated you're better off using attacking wing-backs or 3 centre backs, and stick a good target man up front.
In my first season as Wolves I signed Ouaddou on a free and got Rochina in on loan, the team as a whole should breeze the league so its best to save money for the next season.
Coming up to the end of my first season in the Prem, after 2 consecutive promotions with Wolves, I'm currently 9th. I play 3-5-2 to combat the bad fullbacks, I use good wingers and I have two target men upfront.
I had always gone for the target man & poacher set up in the past, but for some...
Well I'm not struggling now, I know there shouldn't really be much of a challenge. It's just I never really had to do much tactical thinking in league 1 because you can breeze through it with Wolves. Just a shame the fullbacks are pretty ineffectual as fullbacks, as things stand.
As you want to try and dominate possession, I think fluid & control work well, assuming your team is fairly good.
I have been playing with Balanced & Standard against the better teams in the league while we still get used to the formation.
After a string of poor performances and results in my first season back in the championship as Wolves, I decided I'd had enough with my fullbacks, despite both being considered 'decent premier league players' and barely getting ratings of 6.0.
As most of you already know, the fullbacks in the...
In my save as Wycombe they got taken over by a tycoon, sounds crazy but we we're odds on for europa league qualification in the prem at the time, the year is 2027 in it now, so mostly regens everywhere.
Anyone fancy it?
There's quite a few knocking around if you have the french leagues loaded. I can't get to my wrexham save right now but try searching for Nocente CB, Victor Di Pinto RB, Alexis Carra RW, Vegerolle ST, Franceschi LW, Jarsale CM.
As you can see I can't remember the first names of some of them and...
Not much you can do if you appeal and it's turned down. If a player has a few international caps to their name it usually boosts their chances, someone else might explain the proper requirements.
You use it when you find a high-profile player who is probably too expensive for your current budget, it's good if your board are being stingy with money and you reckon you've got enough in the bank to buy the player without the risk of going in the red.
If you convince your board to do so they...
When you take a club up through the divisions, you should always keep an eye on your balance.
If in you get Swindon into the prem and your board allow you to spend £20mil even though you only have £3mil in the bank, it'd be best to buy players using monthly instalments, you'll spend a little...
Are your scouts good at judging potential?
Remember the ratings are relative to your squad, so if you're playing as one of the top teams on the game it'll be harder to find players that are potentially better than the ones you have.
