After watching a few FM youtubers use a lot of asymmetrical tactics, I started playing around with possibilities. I found that a front 3 partnership of a false 9, a shadow striker and an inside forward worked pretty well, so I've attempted to build a solid tactic around that.
You definitely want higher end players, this is not a lower league tactic. I've run a couple plug and play saves in League 1/League 2 and they didn't outperform expectations. Meanwhile while testing better clubs, I managed 4th in the Prem with plenty of European progression and cup success with plug and play and also a strong season with Liverpool, which is pictured.
