Foxy showed in the streamer showdown it is possible to go strikerless, so I tried to make a defenderless to counter it. So far it seems to be terrible but I want to see just how bad.
For this version, I played a 5 man midfield to try and reduce the spaces to get through me. So this contains 3 central midfielders with defensive duties, 2 defensive wingers as well. Then we have a 4 man attacking midfield with 1 up top. The trial runs did not work in the slightest. I want to know if there is any circumstance for which this tactic can actually work. (I tried it as Nottingham Forest and lost some pre-season games to non-league sides, so my guess is no).
