I began using this formation as I found that wingers are the least effective position on the game IN MY OPINION. I focus on the four front players being all out attack, the midfield two providing them and the defence normally sitting back. This formation can leak goals, but it usually scores many more. Within 4 years with Brentford and the right signings this formation has took me to a league title and on the verge of retaining it. It is not a possession based tactic, it more focuses on doing something with the ball rather than just keeping it. In the first season with the initial transfer window off, using this tactic I managed to finish 6th, with a record of 20 W, 9 D and 9 L with a mediocre Brentford side.
