Being an Arsenal fan since Mikel Arteta has taken charge I've been eager to try and replicate his system in FM20. I've tried to keep it as realistic as possible by using the same squad as real life although being that there is a first team squad size of 27 at present I sold Sokratis, Mustafi and Kolasinac in pre season and began retraining Saka to be the back up LWB, which left me with a manageable squad size of 24.
This tactic aims to have the 2-3-5 shape Arsenal have been using in attack whilst switching back to 4-2-3-1 in defence which I think I've managed quite well as can be seen in the pictures. The AM presses more to try and replicate the 4-4-2 pressing shape Arsenal adopt as well.The left wing back should bomb forward to create the 5 attackers whilst the right sided inverted wing-back moves inside to support the 2 holding midfielders to create the midfield 3.
I managed to win a League and Europa double using this tactic and was beaten in the Carling Cup Final and FA Cup Semi Finals. Surprisingly Dani Ceballos got player of the year after being retrained to play the DM role whilst Pepe, Lacazette, Nketiah and Aubameyang supplied most of the goals. Pepe also performed brilliant in the assist category with 17 to his name. The only disappointment I had was I couldn't quite seem to replicate Auba's real life scoring form in the Raumdeuter role, perhaps that could be tweaked somehow by someone whether that be to change to an Inside Forward or even push him further forward to create a 2 man attack.
I think I'm correct in saying Arsenal have had the best defensive record since Arteta took charge and this tactic seemed to be really solid only conceding 14 in the league and amazing 27 league clean sheets.
I've mainly used a balanced mentality because that seemed to work from the beginning and Arsenal are hardly the free flowing attacking side that we once were but I've occasionally turned up a notch to positive if behind in games or 0-0 for longer periods.
I used the FmKorea training schedules which I feel give great performance and followed these 2 guides:

My aim now is to try and create a new tactic for the following season as I think Arteta may try a 4-3-3 shape next season but I've taken a break from the save at present.
