My god. I normally play 4222 and I have my own version which is works pretty decent already. But I'm trying your version and i'm just blown away, really. I am having my own personal best career so far, its still early but wow..
My team is not that special. promoted to 2nd division 2 years ago. I lost 3 good players recent offseason and I tried to pick someone off from free market. I still have a great GK (4 star with solid green consistent), three 3.5 stars players, and some 3, and couple 2.5. 45% of my team are 2 stars and less. Season preview screenshot above shows. lol.
I came here because my team have been doing crazy stuff....what the heck. I just had HISTORIC career season game of my life since FM13. My players literally obliterated IBV by half time 8-0. See below:

Edit: I beat Keklavik who won Icelandic Cup last 2 straight years (Keklavik was premier team last season but got relegated, thats how I managed to drew to play them)
I know this is not England or Germany or something. I always love to play Iceland (with all 5 leagues instead of standard available Premier + 1st division) Started rock bottom 4th Division working my way up. I think I'im gonna get promoted this year thanks to your tactic. This is just gorgeous. Never thought my players would pull this off so far.
Forgot to add: I did 1 tweak. I am running with WB-S (same instructions) instead of FB-S.

Update: The amazing season continues and just abruptly defeated for the first time. Fjolnir is media predicted #1 team.
Irony is that I have defeated Icelandic premier team just the game before in the cup! I'm still alive in the cup and unfortunately drew my online friend in the semifinal.
Front two players has been scoring a lot of goals 15 and 11.
Lets see how season ends. Still hoping team will pick right up and continue for promotion!

In their run for Cup, beating first div teams and 1 premier team to make it to Cup Final and gave another premier team a hard time before my team lost. Maybe premier team had complacency? crazy though.

This tactic is broken af
LOL it really seem like it is. I just achieved back to back titles.
Season Preview is more accurate. I scoured the free market over offseason looking for A+ recommended players. I dont touch or buy contracted players. Signed 7 unattached A+ recommended players. One is foreign from England. Pretty cool. However, I encountered a restricting registration rules. must have minimum 8 home grown clubs. I only had 2 from 4th Division league days (they're barely useful in this First division) so I could only register 19 players instead of max 25. 7 new players improved my 1000-1 odds to 250-1. Two best of my 7 new players are 3.5 star DR and 4 star ST (who scored 20 goals for me this year).
Now I'm in Icelandic Premier league! Sweett

I do still play WB-S all season. I feel I had better attacking results with them. Sometimes FB-S doesn't run down as much as I would have liked them to. Thats how I decided to try WB-S and thought it works better on the offense. Few times when I'm ahead, near end game, I changed to FB-S to help close games better.
Definitely crazy great results. I didn't think my squad was that special and it pulled off that!
