I am looking to start a new game using this formation with a club team. I've used this in the past for national teams (Brazil, Argentina and Germany) but obviously with these teams I can just pick whichever players I want. Any suggestions on which clubs have players that will suit this formation? I am currently waiting for my "Techie" brother to come and sort out my computer (which he screwed up!) so I can actually run FM 2011.

The basics of this formation are;
GK-Sweeper Keeper D

CBR-Stopper D CBL-Cover D

WBR-Wing Back S DM-Defensive Midfielder S WBL-Wing Back S

CMR-Central Midfeilder A CML-Advanced Playmaker A

AMR-Inside Forward S AMC-Attacking Midfielder S AML-Inside Forward S

I found this to be a solid formation. Not too fancy but with all the settings done I used to win 90% of my games (the other 10% being draws). I would also like suggestions on players that I might need to buy to complete any team. Thanks in advance.

Hey! That sure looks like an intresting formation. I'm wondering about what team you are planning on being?

If you are playing a big team. Then Hulk for AMR and Douglas costa for AML would be incredibly good I think. For AMC I would try to get someone like Agüero.

Always nice to try and innovate with new tactics, but I predict tons of possession for you and lots of long shots. Hardly any ccs. A good formation vs bigger teams but can't see it being successful for an entire season. Curious to see how it goes and hope I'm wrong

Obviously it isn't the most entertaining formation :) I get a shed load of possession. I've not played FM for about a year (and still waiting for my brother to sort out some drivers so I can run the game) The worst part was tweaking all the individual tactics. To get it just right I had to watch entire matches which consisted of my team controlling the game, having a few chances and usually getting 2 goals. That's the way I set my teams up. Proper yawn-fest though. No good if you want to have loads of chances and goals but the teams I used it for were untouchable.

I've not played in a while so I need to find a team that has a lot of players who will suit these positions already. Also, I have to spend the time doing the tweaking again. I can remember bits of it. I want to start with a big-ish club to sort out the individual positions and then when I've got it all sorted gradually use smaller and smaller teams. I was thinking maybe Arsenal or Barcelona to sort it or I might go with the Brazil, Argentina or Germany teams that I used before. Agüero was a god in the AMC position for Argentina.

Will find out how to post my progress with any teams that I use it for.
