Im playing a new kind of formation. Have anyone tried this one?

2-6-2

Asenjo

Brinkman Ekroos
Opare Camacho Regini

Martinez Ilysek

Mata

Jo Ireneu

Any suggestions?^^)

Wow.. That's adventurous. What league are you in? I'm pretty sure you would get stuffed in the EPL.. But that could work in Italy or Spain..

im playing in Spain and hae won my first match 4-1... but was against a low team.. think it can work. my wingbacks are very good.. Brazil are using a formation like it at the confederations cup.

I suppose u play a control type style, with some good shot passes from midfield?

Yes the main focus is to control the game, with short passes. Mata seems to play great just behind the two strikers. He scores a bunch of goals. I also try to win the ball at the opponents pitch to hold the pressure on them. It is important to have two very good wingbacks with speed and dribbling, then you will get plenty crosses in.

Do you push your defensive line high? And what width and pace you play with?

it basically like 4-4-2 but instead of full backs there is wingbacks. i think

I am never sure about wingbacks though, as I like to have a strong back four. But if this formation can let me control 60-70% of the possesion, and can utilize a good athletic d-line, I may give it a go. But I need the details first.
