I've started a save with Fiorentina, and inspired by the way Sousa's Fiorentina attacked in a 3-4-2-1 and occasionally 3-2-4-1, I decided to try to build formations from this base shape.
The philosophy is simple: work hard, keep the ball, short passes, flood the final third, and lots of shots with a high proportion on target, lots of goals, and staying tight at the back. Attractive football.
I've started a thread, progressing my way through this save, which you can access here:
In the meantime though, here's screen grabs of my basic formations. All the rest of the information is in the above linked thread.
So far, I've beaten Liverpool 5-4 with almost 500 successful passes, been to the Nou Camp and help 50% possession against Barcelona, and stuck 3 past Torino and 7 past Genoa. Follow all the action in my story.
