3rd Party Ownership in FM14

I'm wondering does 3rd party ownership in FM14 give agents any power beyond simply collecting a fee when the player is transferred? For instance, if an agent owns more than 50% of a player can they offer them to other teams themselves?

Is there any downside to selling a majority stake in a player other than being able to collect less money for your own club on transfers?

The 3rd party owner is more likely to want to cash in on the player therefore making him unhappy and wanting to leave your club, if you can i would avoid dealing with them tbh, but it is also a useful way of getting some extra cash in the short run, if your club is struggling, and it doesn't weaken your side
