Hey guys im in a bit of a slump at the moment. Currently using 4 1 4 1 with AMR and AML

Home form is beautiful scoring lots and usually winning most games, tend to concede a few mind u but always score more so not really a problem.

My problem is the away form as im sure u have all heard so many times before. I just cant seem to stop conceding even against the lower teams.

First season was 2nd and at the moment im 4th but thats soley down to home form.

Im Liverpool so need trophies!!

Any input or anythin would be much appreciated.

Thx

Can you show a screenshot of your formation, meaning players, positions and mentalities?

Even better save the tactics file and provide a link, then can see where things might be going wrong :)

If you opponents play a cautious, yet attacking formation, moving up field as a unit, then they often exploit the space between you advanced wingers and fullbacks. As they often hold on to the ball, they wingers have all the time in the world to deliver crosses and even more often they outnumber your midfielders using triangles. Have a look at a game in full mode and look for the moments when they keep position.

+1 to this, i've had the same issues when trying advanced AMR & AML positions, it's vital to keep possession playing this way. I also think you'll become exposed on the wings even more with your fullbacks pushing up trying to compensate for the space. If you play against a team who play wide and have pace (i.e. Villa) I think you'll be encountering problems.

Another thing you may want to look into, when you play away where do you play?

Different pitches may necessitate different tactics. A pitch that is narrow / long will mean your wingers are less effective. It also means that long balls are likely to be effective against you, as you team push up.
