Hi all,

This is my first time creating/tweaking my own tactic. i have always been a fan of 3 st formations since 2014. For this tactic, special mention goes to ChrissyDude as i have taken his 433st tactic and changed and edited it to my own.

The idea behind the tactic is not to exploit a bug and have a unbeaten season as you can see from my season results, but rather re-enact the type of football i want to see a team plays. I am managing a mid table team so quite lucky to get to top 4 finish. i am not sure of what is the best free kick or corner setup and have changed and edited some of my own and some from Chrissy's tactic. As we have all seen a large number of 433 tactics this year exploiting crosses, only chrissy's tactic by far is not really abusing it, i feel.

i have always been inspired by pass and move play. so i will try to recreate that in this tactic.
Control mentality, exploit the middle and play ball out of defence with a narrow width allows me to do so. I do not use retain possession as it is too safe i feel at times. Even without it, i still can get 60% possession. my preseason friendlies were dominating but finishing i find lacking as i was still tweaking it then.
Very fluid mentality allows all players to be involved in all phases of defence and attack and transition. Though it is not working as i would like it too as sometimes the strikers just dont drop deeper to defend.

Defenders

2 CB - stop attackers
2 WB - provide width and passes. sometimes crosses.

Midfielders

1 BWM - my holding midfielder and my aggressor at times in the middle. provide recycling possession option.
1 DLP - holding midfielder that supports attacks and provide short passes.
1 BBM - roams around and attacks the space left behind by my advanced forward. midfield runner that will take long shots or drag defenders.

Strikers

1 SS - though im a fan of 3 striker tactics, this year false 9 is just not pulling back as much as it should so i changed to a shadow striker.
Should be your best player as it can work magic by attacking spaces left behind by the false 9 along with the advanced forward. creator for goal scoring chances as well. will harass defensive midfielders at times. Killer pass
1 F9 - drops into midfield to help create moves and hopefully drag defenders. provide the killer pass and score goals as well.
1 AF - stay up top to attack the backline while provide passes as well.

Opposition instructions
As for OI, i leave it to the *** manager despite most people not using it this year. i usually get a *** manager with best tactical knowledge so that it will provide me with the best OI. of course best is subjective.

Results
View attachment 186252most dominating game by far - the high number of shots result from my fullbacks coming in and taking pot shots (not ideal so i worker to reduced that)

View attachment 186251View attachment 186250there were some losses which were unlucky due to injuries to my defenders and my youngsters not being clinical enough

i do hope the testing league can take my tactic and go try it out.
Disclaimer: you will get frustrating losses where the striker fails to score or your defenders let you down at times. However, the flow of play is just the way i like it. it is not the killer tactic, it is just a tactic that creates killer passes.

First time poster - so let me know if there are things i can work on.

did you manage to solve your issue with your strikers dropping too deep?

Not really. But i could live with 2 strikers not defending deep. its just that they are not defending as much as i wish they would.
My shadow striker harrasses their dm so thats good for me.
All i had to do was slightly beef up my defenders and get more def minded midfielders.
The counter with the 3 strikers is just lovely to watch.
All in all, im happy with the tactics, so do give it a try and give your comments.

really enjoying this tactic! I have realised the importance of having good fullbacks and the player behind the strikers needs to be very creative.
I am Fulham, am close to completing my first season. Top of the table and have lost only one match. What is frustrating is that I should have won a lot of the matches I drew but the majority of my team is young so they are still developing.
All in all, very good tactic. I dominate matches and get a good variety of goals!
Thanks
