4-3-3 Real Madrid with no striker

always i had one question about formations : why always should have one or more strikers.After i start to invent formations with no strikers at all. If u had the same question as me try this tactic, but be carefull becouse i use strategy Overload and u need center defenders with 15 to pace at least. Sometimes my gk is the only player in my half pitch.

To me it just seems like the whole formation and tactic is based on making up for the fact that there's no striker. If you have to play with a very risky Overload tactic and have to play three defensive midfielders with a lot of pace, wouldn't it just be easier to play with a striker?
