As the title says, Does anyone have an idea how i could make this work? Im thinking a wide playmaker with a offensive fullback behind him and on the other side a widemidfielder with a defensive fullback behind him

What do you think?

What you're saying would leave 3 back but they wouldn't all shift across to cover (there would still be a hole where the attacking full back is.

You'd get the effect better by having 2CB 2WBs 1DM(half back). In defense it would be 442, then in attack the CB's split as the WB's move forward and the half back drops in.
Could finish the rest of the formation with 3CM and 2ST.
Half back only works as described if you use WB's not FB's.

Also I've not played with half backs for a while so it might be more like 532 in defense. Try it out and watch some of the full match then start tweaking.
