He's only 16 and is a good prospect but that is taking it a bit to far
can anyone beat this?

Again, I'm leaning more towards it being realistic.. If the club doesn't need the money, it won't accept your offer. And if the player is valued at 2 Million, at just 16 years old, makes even more sense.. Just because you want to buy, doesn't mean the club will want to sell him.. And hence, they'll make unrealistic demands to make you back off..

Are you completely stupid???
this is a youth team player unproven in any top league who is only a prospect NOT already a quality player. In reality this would make him the second most expensive player in the world, is that really realistic......NO
do you know of any youth team players worth over 10mill even...NO

Either the club is one of biggies who doesn't need money, or the player just signed a new contract.

Dude.. What on earth are you talking about? Read what I said earlier. It's not about the players worth. The club simply don't want to sell a player who is already valued at 2 Million, [at just 16 years old, no less]. No club wants to sell their hot prospects. Which is why they're quoting such a humungous price. Just because YOU want to buy, doesn't mean they'll want to sell, AI is not always stupid. Which is why I said, "And hence, they'll make unrealistic demands to make you back off.."

he's at AJ auxerre who are bottom of the French league and he's only got two and a half years left on his contract
move even unsettled him
they want 79 mill up front with add ons totalling up to 85
how is this in the slightest bit realistic??

This doesn't happen in real life and I find its the same situation with most youngsters
fair enough inflating the price a bit for a hot prospect but that much...it would never happen in reality. He's also unsettled at the club but still they won't budge

I bought Lars Bender from Leverkusen for 17M, but they wanted 30M+ for Emre Can. One's a player playing in his prime, the other's a youngster, this is how absurd transfers are. The stats differ way too much, yet this. Game's valuation of player is different. If you buy him for say, 15M, his valuation will reach 10-12M for sure. I've stopped doing business in the game, I just scrape all the regens before they sign a contract with the club. I don't want to pay 30M+ amounts for 20 year olds.

That's crazy money for someone unproven. It happens all over the game inflated prices when your buying but when your selling it's a struggle to get the valuation price. It's complete madness.

Lars Bender will give you 3-4 years of top-level football maximum, whereas Emre Can will reach Benders status in only a few years, maybe surpass him, and then give an entire DECADE of top-level football.

That is why Bender is sold at that price (which is reasonable), and also Emre Can, 30m is reasonable too.

Look at Juventus' Pogba in real life. He is only 20 (born in 1993) yet I am sure Juventus WONT accept a 40m pound bid on him.

That's all fair enough paying that for proven youngsters, I don't have a problem with that but this is a guy worth 2mill whose stats are nothing special and there wanting double of proven players
this isn't just a one off though as I'm sure some of you will have experienced this trying to buy youth players? It's just stupidly unrealistic the price you get quoted for some players yet I sometimes struggle to sell a proven player playing in his peak for a quarter of his value sometimes, this needs fixing in my opinion, I don't think it should be to easy to buy and sell players as that would make the game to easy but at least it should be more realistic

Selling a player is very very hard. I don't buy fringe players anymore, it was a mess at Chelsea initially, took a LOT of work to clean it, yet had to sell players who were bought for 30M, 20M for half the price. Now I bought Papadopulous who I think I'll have trouble selling, he's a beast as BWM for people but he got injured way too much at Schalke and I checked it after they asked me in interview about his history of injuries.

Then don't bother with him? You just said his stats are nothing special so move along and ignore it.
It happens in real life and it happens in game, yes they may want an insane amount but I'm fairly sure you could quite easily find 10-15 other players of a similar level who you could get for a very reasonable price.

Selling players isn't that hard, the issue is most people are trying to sell players who are old, don't play, on massive wages or just aren't that great. You have to accept that you're going to make a loss on them unless you can get them playing well and bring in some interest for them.

Andre Schurrle, 23 y/o, on reasonable wages, played 29 games, scored 10, assisted 9. My other player, Oscar/KdB played lesser games, yet attracted more interest. He's on 72k wages IIRC.

That's what I've done now, give up on him and try again later in season or start of next
its just annoying, I like to buy youth players once I've got a strong 20 players and bring the real good prospects in for cup, easier league and the odd European tie when through the group with games to spare but it's just really hard this year and my youth team isn't producing quality youth, maybe one average looking player a season. I don't mind paying 10 mill for a good under 18 prospect even worth under 1mill but when they start asking 30+ mill for them it gets a bit frustrating
